Birthday Celebrations!...

It's my birthday this week! So me and my friend's decided to hit the Races! Hello Champers&Strawberries! :D I also got very excited because it meant i could buy a new outfit! I wanted something timeless/classic/summery & chic... which is a hell of alot of things to fit into one outfit but I think I've pulled it off!

I opted for a cream net one shoulder/sleeve mini dress from Topshop (Keeping in budget!) I felt this was summery with the colour and design choice...yet timeless with the net!

I've added oversized gold earrings with pearl droplets for a statement look and to keep it simple some pearl, clear & gold bead bracelets...The earrings were a bit pricey at £14 but there so worth it!

To keep in the classic look, I'm keeping my normal 1950's makeup look by sticking to slick black eyeliner and red lips, but not just any red I'm going for a deep dark red/burgandy! Which looks amazing with the cream dress! I got this lipstick from Superdrug in the Make-Up Acamdemy section, this makeup must be brand new out because it's all priced at an intro offer of £1!! And there is so much choice of colours! Amazzzzinggg!

Last but not least keeping it real with black black 120denier tights and black shoe boots to make these pins seeem extra longgggg!

I find drawing far too theraputic! And i love doing fashion illustrations...i wish i could do them properly! Im in the process of hunting someone down to teach me! I could go to the library and find a body about it i guess! I got my inspiration for these from Project Catwalk, which i became a little addicted to lately!...
Any advice or tips leave a comment!!

Uni Year 2...

I start my second year of Uni in October... this from now is a good couple of months but it's flying by!...I need to try extra hard this year as I feel I wasted my first year...God help me.
I just have so much to do! I need to find a flat to live in other wise it'll be cardboard box! Need to keep on top of all my work and put 110% into EVERYTHING! I need to go into uni everyday, this is the biggest challenge as I was born with a diesease called LAZINESS ha... I will do it, I don't want the same feeling of disappointment next year as I did this year. Motivation is the way forward!!

Tattoo's!

I am totally addicted to Miami Ink!...I love the tattoo's the art work and the thought that goes in behind every tattoo!... I would love to get a tattoo done by Darren Brass, but not in his usual Grafetti style... I would love something with this pattern on it....

How amazing does it look! I think my next tattoo will be something along the lines of this, minus the skull/faces. I love the brush strokes and swirls!!

My most recent tattoo was of a swallow on my foot, that was extended from something i already had...It was painful, but well worth it!!...

Work work work!...

I have been working every hour possible for the past few days , to try and gain some dolllarrrr!
I spent the days at work and the nights drinking with my favourite people in the world = my friends, but this all rolls down to one serious hangover. But I'm a trooper I will battle through.

I can't wait to get paid and buuy some new shoes! I'm dying to get some black suede shoeboot wedges! There devine! I don't have alot of money at the moment so the £85 Topshop one's shall have to wait, Im buying a paid off Ebay for £23! BARGAIN! These will go amazing with my white floaty Topshop dress for the Races! :D

Job!

I have now gained a small job, it's zero contract hours so they can call me in at any time which is good but bad. But hey ho it's a job! It's for a shop near me called Impressions. Not great but not bad, it's fashion retail that's all that counts. Had my first shift today, all i did was put clothes out and put new prices on old items. Exciting I hear you say ha. I have a few shifts coming up next week, hopefully I'll keep getting more!

Louis Vuitton...

I love looking through glossy magazines, the hundreds of adverts actually cheers me up...I love looking at how perfect the people look in them and how far people go to sell things, the imagination and creativness is amazing.

I came across a Louis Vuitton advert, and I'm in love with these boots, the colour is gorgeous! They also do a back pack in this colour and material in the Summer 2010 collection, I wish i had it.

Newcastle!...

Today I went to Newcastle to see some friends which was nice as I haven't seen them in a long time! While I was there I always have to nip into the shops and down the town to see what's kicking about...My friend works in Topshop there so I popped in to see her and check out the clothes and I spotted the most gorgeous top ever!

Hats and Fascinators!

I love hats and fascinators! As a little girl I loved trying all the big hats on! Even still today I do...I don't care if I'm 20 parading through deparment stores with them on...I love Philip Treacy's headpieces! One of a kind! This is one of the popular one's that Sarah Jessica Parker wore to the Sex&TheCity premiere!...It's too diee forr!

I created a headpiece at University inspired by Philip Treacy and Isabella Blow, as part of an Isabella Blow project...

It was created from basic items, a headband, a piece of oasis which I pushed giant flowers into, in the colours of white, black and red. And I used a sieve as the netting! Fiddly to make but looked good in the end, not practical to wear everyday though!

Anyways! The reason I remember all this was because today while walking through town I noticed a shop which I had never seen before, but was instantly attracted to it with all the hat boxes and fascinators in the window. I went in and spoke to the women running it, she's called Jayne Elwell. She explained that 'The Libertaian' was a place to buy hats, headpieces, fascinators, clips and loads more! But this shop was a Pop-Up shop, open for a week only! I'll defiently be going back on saturday when she has a live model in there modelling her headpieces! Also selling cupcakes! :D Perfect!

Ebay...

You know times are hard when the contents of your wardrobe ends up on ebay... I hoared clothes like a bitch, so i might as well make use of this obession and just sell it all... I have clothes that are yearrrs old so it's all going on ebay starting at a mear 99p ;) how depressing... somethings I take out the draw, hold up and think I CANNOT possibly get rid of that, it might come back into fashion... and put it back in the draw... defeating the object of making money and space!
So until i get a job lined up this is going to be my source of income ebay... by the end of the summer, my room will consist of only a bed & lamp and I'll be wearing bin bags, how attractive!
Long live ebay! One of my favourite web sites! How I would of got through life without it I don't know!

Fooood!...

I love food... the key to my heart is fooood & Louboutin shoes...I was going through old pictures last night and came across photo's from my 18th birthday, I had a cake made by a place called ' Cake Toppers' http://www.caketoppersredcar.co.uk/ and it was amazing! It had little pieces of makeup made and placed around the top and loads of sparklers and candles in it! It's truly amazing what these people can do! Soo while i was browsing the web I came across these cakess...

Chanel inspired cupcakes!!! Arrrrrggghhhh! Amazing! So for my next birthday cake i would like loads of these to be made!

Doubles...

At university I study Fashion Design, Styling & Promotion and within this course I learn how to use photoshop inside out which I already practically know but anyways...This means learning how to edit photo's. I LOVE LOVE LOVE editing photo's...because personally a photo is never finished until it's edited, even if it just means touch ups or cropping. My favourite part is editing pictures of people and making them ubber glammmm! Because the difference can be phenominal! Which is what i love! Why shouldn't people or celebs feel good about themselves on a magzine cover? or a photoshoot? I mean it's getting distributed around the world it's the least the editing team can do to touch up them nasty bags or blemishes they've got going on!

I was just searching the web and came across this one of Faith Hill...

Of course she look's beautiful with or without the editing it still makes you feel better that somebody's taken care of it though! LONG LIVE EDITING!

The seasons must!...

I have looked through countless of magazines, webpages, blogs etc and still at the moment 'Pastel' shades/colours are still in for nail colours!
From summery lilics to lemons! But my over all favourite colour is grey!

I just love how it looks so concrete and metal, it's my favourite, it just pains me to take it off and opt for something more bright seems as though it is coming up to summer!...But my summer choice is bright coral which i purchased from Barry M and bright mint blue called Bella's Choice from H&M which is only £2.99! Bargaaaiinnnn!

Shopping trip!...

Just a small selection of my jewels, yes i'm a magpie!



Lately my days have been full of watching Maimi Ink, LA Ink, London Ink... Fashion TV... Topgear (Yes, I know very manly programme, still i find it brilliant) and Glee! I am a Gleeek! This programme is just uttlely geniusss! Anyways not the point I'm trying to make, today i went shopping! And with the greatest weapon of them all... my mother :) the woman who has all sorts of credit/debit cards kept hidden in her purse! It's like Mary Poppin's bag! I LOVE it!


Shopping to me is not just about buying things, it's about buying happiness, who ever said money doesnt buy you happiness was clearly looking in the wrong places! I could go into a garden shop come out with some sunflower seeds and have a beaming smile on my face, because at the end of the day i have bought something, something brand spanking new!

Today I purchased, a emerald green coloured hoodie, brilliant for Creamfields in the summer, when im shivering in my tent! Some pink/gold bead braclets & a chunky black ring, i love big rings, in all colours! & some cream sandles with a beautiful shiny gold clasp on them! Of course i bought most of it apart from the hoodie which was a cheeeky purchase from the mother! Absoulte success!

Summer!

Sooo, I'm finally back home from the 'big smoke' i.e London for the summer...we have 6 months off, which technically could kill me living back at home. I have to now find a job because my student loan has somehow vanished from my bank and into my wardrobe mostly... i have kinda of wasted the money but nevermind i have some pretty coool stuff for it!

I have only sucessfully found one job that is pretty decent on wage, hours and location... but it's working in a childrenswear clothes shop, children aren't my forte, at all!... So spending 20hrs a week surrounded by them will be torcher, but we can't have everything i guess. Hopefully i'll hear back from them and if not maybe they've saved me from death by children?...

Here We Go Again...

I'm back again, with another blog.
I try my very hardest to keep them going, but can never stay loyal to them, but this time it's a must! I must stay loyal, I must talk about random stuff that I find interesting, I must talk about upcoming trends, collections, celebs and all that jazz! I will try my hardest, because at the end of the day it's only my knowledge that will expand, I guess. I will try and write one post a day. Try been the key word.
